CA18 Stage 2 Horsham, T28r and Walbro 255....FPR required?

Hey,
Hope you can help. Got the usual stage 2 setup on my S13. Not running an AFR gauge yet which no doubt would answer this question for me, but should I be running a fuel pressure regulator? From a launch it pulls hard and boosts really quick, but if I get on it in 3rd gear say around 3k, the boost builds to full boost but the car hesitates and doesn't really pull. It isn't misfiring or anything, just doesn't go like you'd expect it to with a bar of boost being shoved down its throat. Is there a chance I'm running mega rich for a second? Or worse, mega lean? I'm running stock injectors.

It's only running the stage 2 chip at the moment. Timing is set correctly. Is running the correct amount of boost. Front mount, 3" exhaust, cone intake etc. I've been meaning to get to Horsham to stick it on the rolling road. Want to make sure I've got everything I need before I do though (AFR, FPR etc) Cheers
 
No you don't need an FPR for stage 2, are you running a T28 or T28R turbo??

Sounds like a boost leak somewhere.

Thanks for the reply dude. Odd as it does seem to build boost pretty quicky. T28R I believe. Makes full boost before 4k usually. I'll have a look at finding some leaks though. Cheers!
