Hi guys , had this idle issue with my s13 ever since I bought it
will idle fine when cold , as soon as it gets to working temp the revs pick up to 1700-2000rpm
have tried replacing the aac valve although it was a brown plug type , not sure if there is much difference
It would only go up to around 1500 rpm then but the problem still occurred
if you remove the aac plug when it’s warm it will idle at around where it should be 700-800rpm
And then as soon as you plug it in will rise straight back to 2000
it seems something is telling the aac valve to just stay open ? Should it be pulse width modulated ? Have cleaned it out clinically and made new gaskets so there are no vacuum leaks to the valve
can’t find any vacuum leaks Elsewhere
would I be best buying another green plug type aac valve or where would be a good place to look
any ideas are welcome as I’m tearing my hair out
Many thanks
