CA18DET issue :(

I bought my car 6-7 months ago, since I had it i´ve the next problem.

If I run with 2bar on fpr it runs bad until 4k if you press the full throttle (starts do misfire and backfire), after that well but If I run with 2.5bar It runs well on all range.

My spec:

CA18DET stock
Walbro
Nismo FPR *
R8 coilpack *
Correct spark plug *
Injector are tested
ECU stock
The ignition timing is correct
GT2560R

* new items.

I need help!! :(

Its decat engine, I haven't O2 sensor.
Compression are good.

Why are you messing around with the FPR if you've got a stock ECU??

Leave the stock FPR in place, it's good for big power anyway.

I know the nissan fuel regulator works well with high power but I had 2 FPR, I think the FPR doesnt mate with my problem, I had this problem with both FPR. When I bought the car has Stage 2 chip and It has GT2560R installed with boost controller.
 
#1 put the stock fpr back.

#2 check the obvious. Boost leaks, ignition timing, all earths and battery connections, tps settings.

#3 don't mess.with the fuel pressure on a car with a stock ecu unless you have an afr gauge and knowledge of tuning cars.
 
Isn't stage 2 supposed to run a T28 ? your fueling maybe correct but are you getting the correct flow from a GT2560r ? might be why you need to run 2 bar + wich is very high pressure for this application should be 15psi or 1bar max at stage 2 :thumbs:

With stock fpr runs with the same problem, is it possible a bad CAS sensor? But I dont know why If i put 2.5bar the fuel rail runs well, I have the AEM wideband to install.

The last owner has the same problem with stock FPR and T25 turbo.
 
Who made the stage 2 chip?

Is it a well known tuner or some dodgy one off eBay?

The stage 2 is from Hdev but now it has stock ecu, when I bought the car I had stage 2 and 2.5 bar on rail and works well and now, the last owner reply me that is possible the knock sensor is done and do this issue.

I know the knock sensor with hdev chips is annulled.
 
If your running a Stock ECU you will be hitting fuel cut surely with the other stuff thats on there and running a lot of boost ?

If you have a H-dev stage 2 chip in the ECU your running the wrong turbo and these are the things you need to run that chip :

Free flow air filter
Free flow exhaust
Boost controller to achieve 15psi boost pressure
Uprated intercooler
T28 turbo from an S14 200SX
Super unleaded fuel (>97 RON)
Uprated fuel pump

The chip will remove the fuel cut then and work with them mods :thumbs:
