can you get 225.40.15 tyres ?

Matt.

lemon party
i have some odd sized wheels (15x11jj) and need two tyres to stretch on them so was looking for some 225.40.15 can you guys get these size tyres?

i may also need 2x 195.40.15 aswell

many thanks
Matt

iv just looked through where i get my tyres from and the size you want 225/40/15 seems to be obsolete. the next size is 225/45/15 and there only seems to be hancook who make it (on the site i used) and there £96 each.
i have a similar wheel 15x10.5 j and they had 225/50/15 nexons on them and the stretch is pretty retarded plus being nexon there cheap at £60 each
piccy of 225/50/15 on a 10.5j

but saying that i cant answer for d.w being able to get tyres in that size. although the lack of sidewall is gonna make them look retarded.

yeh the only 225.45.15's i can find are the toyo r888 or the toyo R-1R and there £72 and £73 but im concerned on the life span of them :o

the front tyres are the same i cant find any with a 40 wall only 195.45.15 and they start at £35 a tyre.

so it looks like i will be going with a 45 tyre wall i need it as small as possible as the cars slammed and the wheels have rediculas amount of poke :D

why not raise the numbers on the sidewall and reduce the size of the tread like a 205 50 15?

the tyre clearence is close now on standard rims/tyres and the front wheels are 8.5 with neg offset and the backs are probably neg offset too and when there on its quite possible im going to have to make new arches but the car is lowered 60mm and i really want it much lower than it is so i was thinkin keep the tyre walls as small as poss

heres a fue pics there not bolted on 100% as the centers are tite but its only a fue mm difference

they look like there fitted backtofront.......
shame there isnt an over fender for an e30 so it can stay looking wide but semi stock.
also by increasing the sidewall and shrinking the tread diameter you will make the tyre stretch more. small sidewalls and thin tread diameter will make the wheel look like it has a pube wrapped around it aswell as the wheel having no shock rebound at all from the tyre resulting in a bent rim dude

back in the summer a mate got a set of r888 225/40/15 for about £60 per corner but i think their discontinued

thanks no i hadent checked camskill.

i dont want wide arches in the sence of the whole pannel im going to cut the origenal arch off and make one as simler as poss and weld it on to keep it looking as normal as possible.

You are absolutely dreaming dude! :D That is going to require the most retarded Boso style arch you've ever seen :wack:

On another note, the tyres aren't something we can help with I'm afraid :). As above camskill are good.

haha probably but i dont mind that i just dont think the full wide arches will look as good on this perticular car but who knows what arches it will end up with i wont be able to crack on with it till i sort the rubber out lol

225/40 on 11j would look retarded. i.e youd have the whole lip exposed and it would just look wank, and youd be pulled and bummed straight away

you really dont want much less than 225/40 on a 10j, let alone an 11
