Car transporter insurance

Mitch

In moderation
I'm meant to be picking up a VW transporter flat bed tomorrow, but have been fucked off by all the insurance companies I've rung up.

Can anyone give me the number of a company that will insure me on it without me having to mortgage a kidney?

It's mainly to transport my drift car to events, pick up poorly 200's and do the odd job to make some wedge.

Cheers in advance

Because I already won it on Ebay, mate.

Anyway, I am sorted now with N.U. so I'll be on the road tomorrow :D

OUCH!! :D

Turned out to be a shitheap and I couldn't get the car onto it forwards, even after taking off my front splitter and using a kerb to lessen the angle. When I got it on backwards, all the weight was over behind the rear axle and the cab was raised so the front wheels had hardly any weight on them.

Coupled with the fact that it dropped about a gallon of water on the floor while it was just sat there, I had to leave it. Much as I want one, I'm glad I got insured on it, sent him a deposit by paypal, wasted the morning driving to Brum, missed the show at the Pod, but didn't end up with that piece of poo.

So, I'm back on the lookout. Not sure whether to go for trailer and hefty car or transporter now. Suggestions? Might have to sell the drifter to afford it, then make another one, but I think it could pay in the long run. Not sure yet.

Not sure about hiring it out, James, probably would do the job myself but I'll see when I get one.
