Cheap Jap drifter wanted

I've no idea what the market is like in Germany but you'll be very lucky to get any 'Japanese Drifter' for a budget of circa 2500 GBP. Probably an MX5 with change left over to mod.
 
S chassis, e36 in good condition are pretty rare and expensive here... Sometimes you get some good mx5's for a bargain but they getting rare here..

What's the opinion of a is200? I know they are slow as f*ck, but are they any good for starting drifting?
