I'm looking to get my first "drift car" and I've come between an e36 328is or a 350z.
Ideally I'd like to hear from people who have driven either, or both, and hear what their experience is with each car, pros and cons, cost of ownership, etc... I'm leaning towards the bmw because personally I like the looks and sound more, but I'm fully aware the 350z makes 100hp over the beamer. I've owned an e46 325ci before as a daily and enjoyed it, I also found working on it to be fairly straightforward (except electrical gremlins). I've never owned a nissan, or driven one.
Currently there's a complete drift ready e36 325i that I'm thinking of picking up... ( m50b25 swap with 60k, angle kit, dual caliper hydro, coilovers, subframe reinforcement... basically everything you could ask for.) I'm tempted to just scoop it... but will I be dissapointed if I drive a z afterwards?

I’d pick the e36 every time. Owned a few from 328 all way down to 316 compacts, along with plenty Nissan 13s, 14s and skylines. No 350z’s so can’t compare directly. The m50b25 is also a very sought after engine being stronger then the normal m52’s in e36’s. Perfect for turbo conversions later on being the iron block.
