PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ENQUIRING!

Right bit of info on the car.

I bought this car last year after owning a couple of civic's previously.

Since owning the car i have changed the clutch for a brand new OEM honda clutch, EK9 gearbox and having the MOT done.

The car was MOT'd in January and was passed with NO minors. The car was taxed straight afterwards.

A couple of weeks later the bottom end let go. it sounds like a bottom end bearing has spun on the shaft. I haven't driven the car since this.

I would fix the car myself but i'm after something RWD so just want this gone.

With the spec list this car has if it was working correctly with no issues it should fetch something in the region of £3.5-$4K. To fix the issue with the engine the most i can see it costing is well under £600.

The tyres on the buddyclub wheels have also gone and will need replacing.

I have priced this car to sell. if i was to fix the engine i would not loose out as much money. However i really can't be arsed to tell you the truth. So IMO its a bargain. The car will need picking up on a trailer for obvious reasons.

The price is including the wheels which can be removed from the sale with the reduction of £300 from the price. The car is currently on the standard alloys.

Thank you and PLEASE no time wasters. Any questions please feel free to ask via text on 07772 896215 or calls after 4. If i do not answer please text me your number so i can get back to you.

Cheers

willing to take a decent 318 E30 as part ex or parts for one such as coileys etc

sorry haven't put the price up.

£2200 with everything.

£1900 without wheels

£1600 without wheels and mugen cat back exhaust (dont have the stock replacement but i'm sure one is easily sourceable)

cheers!

just thought ide add a little more.

i can see that there have been a fair few views on this topic. the repair could be very cheap. ive put the add on DW simply because it seems to be a forum with alot of knowlege and people who carry work out themselves.

i'm guessing that the crank and bottom end bearings will beed replacing. i wouldn't have thought the bottom end will be wrecked. the cost of these part will be quite cheap (short of £200). the thing that seems to put most people off is that it COULD be quite a lengthy project if the entire engine is bolloxed. this is NOT the case.

like i say i'm willing to take close offers and will also offer to remove parts from the car and drop the price accordingly. i bought the car around 6-7-8 months ago for £4300!!! as you can see i'm making a MASSIVE loss on the car. if this car was fixed i think it could easily fetch £3500. which of course would be a healthy profit for anyone willing to get under the car for a day and change the crank and bearings.

cheers. any question please feel free to ask.

looks like it will be going this week.

last chance £1600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPIDLY low price!!!!

1600 for a civic with damaged engine?

if you don't want it mate thats fine. but if you can find me a black civic EK with the spec list i have up there for less than £3K then your one lucky bugger. seeing as a bottom end could cost as little as £200 to repair i see it as a bargain.

maybe the cars not for you if you don't know anything about Honda's. the advert has been posted on many Honda forums and many people have said its a bargain. and that was when it first went up for £2200!!!

up to you mate but the price won't drop another penny below that price.

right ok.

well i'm just gonna be blunt at this point.

in my honest opinion if i was to fix the car and get a new set of tyres for the wheels i could sell it on for no less than £3200. as i have said i bought the car around 8 months ago for £4300. since then ive put a brand new clutch in and an EK9 gearbox with LSD. oh AND the new MOT.

as you can see by the numbers this is a HUGE loss. just thinking about it is making me want to go out there and sort it out. sadly due to the consumption of cannabis over the years ive totally lost interest in working on cars. ESPECIALLY swapping engine's.

the simple fact is the cars a bargain. its just trying to find someone who wants to part with that kind of cash for a car that doesn't drive. its a big barrier for most people.

so to put it plain and simle. IF you are interested in the car then it won't be a matter of disscusing how much the car is worth and trying to knock money off it. it will be a matter of if you want the car or not. sorry to put it in a blunt way but it will stop timewasters ringing up and offering "£1K cash on collection". i mean how else are you gonna pay for it? its not like i have chip and pin at home!

:)

dont worry, it will sell it-self if ita a real bargain.
you keep saying it is a £200 fix, where is it from?

no, i said it COULD be as cheap as a £200 fix. that would be doing it yourself. not sure how much somewhere would charge for it to be done.

i still not understand, you said bearing spun on crank. bearing shell, re-grind, labour...etc they all add up, how can it be with in 200?
anyway, maybe you got some very cheap supply, god knows what.
