Hey Guys

As per our lil chat at D1 James im after some prices of some heavier rated springs for my tein super streets , looking for 10/8 or even 12/10 .

Do u know if the R32 or S13 D2 adjustable arm kit will fit the cef ?

Okay mate, I've done some research, and as I thought harder springs are available, but the superstreet dampers are not capable of dealing with more than a 8 or 9kg.. You could push this by going for a 10kg at your own risk, but I wouldn't advise it really as I've done the 'super hard springs' thang and it just makes the car handle like shit.

Do you know the weight difference and dispersion difference for the engine swap possibilities? As just compensating for a heavier engine with stiffer springs isn't always the only way to do it :)

i think the vh45de is only about 60 kilo's heavier than the ka24 ( all the info on this engine swap is into a S13 in the states ) but it is the size of two rb's sitting next to each other but half the lenght ( hope u understand that ) im guessing its no more than 40 on the rb ... think the vg30det is about 25-30 kilo's heavier

i need to see wat spring rate my knackered coil overs are as thye are like 8 point dampering but were solid as hell ( granted there was no oil in 2 of them )

only reason why i was thinking of changing the springs is becoz the kit is only a month or 2 old and set an hardest still has a bit of roll under hard cornering and is a bit spongy on bumpy roads ... i will have a think what i am gonna do and go from there


any advice ?
 
yeha i was thinking abotu them, just that extra weight of the engine with out the roll barsd would have made it a bit more worse, saying thta an extra 40 kg's should make to muhc of an impact on the front springs to much

im guess u have S13 roll bars or are they R32 ones :rolleyes: oih the joys of having a mungrel car

would a whiteline front roll bar for a s13 fit a r32 ? as ive got one out the front :) would it make a difference just fitting the front one?
