coilover advice?

Hi boys (and girls),
Don't think that my coilovers at the moment are doing me any justice. Got Tanabe Sustec Pro, short stroke with no damping adjustment :S F 8Kg, R 6Kg rear.

I'm looking to get a Spring rate of F 6kg, R 7kg. Really want a set with adjustable shock body so I don't loose suspension travel when grounding my car  Are the K-sports suitable for this type of setup? Would love a set of Teins, but not sure that my wallet will stretch that far as I have to get a decent clutch/flywheel setup soon aswell :smash:

Any advice welcome.

Hey Milosh, you do not want F6 R7 springrates, that would handle appaulingly. :)

K-Sports are independantly adjustable as said before, you can adjust it so there is slack in the spring giving a bit of suspension droop. :)

Thanks for replies. I know that Yashio factory recommend this type of setup (harder in the back than in front) so I got curious. Is there any chance of getting some F7 R6's then?

The TEin Super Drifts are more independantly adjustable than the K-sport thou correct?

Honestly 8/6 is a really common choice for a reason, it handles good, I'll enquire about 7/6 if you really want though. :)

The super drifts are equally as adjustable but they're just a higher standard suspension setup, which is why they cost more. :)

I dunno, judging from all the D1 Setups of 8F7R it can't be a bad thing I thought. Am I wrong in thinking that the damping will be able to compensate 'unorthodox' spring rates? I still don't understand why 8F and 6R is the ideal when everyone in japan is using different settings for Drift. Just take a look at Drift Bible, the s14 there uses 8F 9R. Looks to handle just fine :confused: Could be the driver thou ;)

Never mind I'll stick with stock spring rates, as they are valved to suit. But I'm still undecided on whether to go for SuperSTreets with upper mounts vs. the Ksports. For my very basic skills what would you recommend?
