Coilover set up

i`m booked on the bovingdon drift day next month and was wondering what set-up people are running on coilovers?

I have Tein flex`s fitted to my S13, i have just set them up for the road at the min. Just need some advise on where to start, how hard front and back etc and what affect this will have on the car.

Cheers for the help boyo`s

The best thing to do is have a play, I'd start with a click harder than road on the front, and 3 clicks harder on the rear :)

There will be a few people

Myself included there on the day. We'll offer advice and come out with you for a few laps to see what we think etc. We'll sort you out :)

By the way

Definately get your camber, caster and toe setup before you start drifting it. I didn't on my S13. I did it all by eye and the car was total shite! It's well worth doing and not too expensive!

I didnt have time to even get mine done by eye (there was a visible 5-10 degree toe out combined across the front!!) before the D1 final - it was booked in on the saturday before but I winded up fixing an electrical fault that was causing the car to cut out that day instead.

The car pulled to the right and would not drift properly at all. actually, it wouldnt brake properly either :D

you had it done yet ? i really need mine dooing and need to find somewhere local to do it

not yet, only just got round to fitting the tein tie rods & ends. (& then adjusted by eye - a car squaling like its about to crash when going round a very shallow corner just aint right)

I'm going to be picking up some 300ZX rear hubs soon and putting adjustable rear toe arms on then so will probably wait until then... if the inside edge of my tyres holds out that long :D
