CS2 Coilover Adjustment

Just wondering I have taken almost all the adjustment off on my front coilovers lowering it my desired height and my car is still not where I want it. There is still a finger gap between fender and wheel and I really would like the clearance to resemble the rear setup heightwise. Is it wise to remove the helper springs to achieve this, what are people's thoughts and have they come across this problem and what do you suggest?

This is how my car currently stands, I managed to ge tit a little lower but like I said I am only able to get it to a finger gap before the locking washers for the lower coilovers adjustment and the upper coilover adjustment touch eachother.

also knocking the camber top plates in drops the car a fair bit.

Clarkey.

Do you mean placing the top allen bolts to the outermost holes and shifting the camber even more negative? This car is gonna be a daily so don't wanna run any ridiculous camber on it to create even more uneven tyre wear. Thanks again people, can someone confirm on the helper spring removal, not doubting one person but prefer a couple people suggesting it or even Phil and the guys @ Driftworks :dw::thumbs:.

yeah adjusting the top plates in a little, if they are fully out it will jack the car up a little, the car will drop as you adjust them in as they are on a ramp, camber doesn't really wear tyres its toe.

Do as Kam surgested and it will be low :D as there is a ring to remove and the helper spring, i would be interested in buying the helper springs off you for mine :)

Clarkey.

<----- I work for Driftworks :wack:

You do know I live in Trinidad in the Caribbean right ;). Will give the camber plates a go first and see what it gives then adjust accordingly, thanks.

So I may experience some clunking at high speeds over a dip in the road say?

If the "dip" is sudden and large enough to bottom out the suspension, yes.

But you would litterally need to jump the car, I run 15mm of droop with no helper springs every day, on track and drifting - no issues.

No worries.

Just to re-itterate, you'd have to do this to come across any problems, even then it would just pop back into place :D :
