Firstly in light of a recent R32 for sale thread i hope im not slated for describing this as a well known car with quite a bit of history as in this case i assume its true
I dont really want to have to do this but as ive only just got to the point where the car is pretty much sorted and i can actually drive it, after months of anguish trying to get parts etc . my financial situation is somewhat crap for want of a better word though and sadly if i cant find some money from somewhere then this is going to have to be
a thread containing the majority of the work that has been carried out is here
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/projects-builds/36987-r32-re-birth.html
and this is the origional for sale thread when i bought it off Bonbon
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...-my-d1gb-final-winning-r32-skyline-gts-t.html
When i first bought the car i had it mapped and it made 365.6bhp and 300lbft at 1.5bar of boost, i had the car mapped last week and its now making 337.9bhp and 300lbft at 1.2bar and its made a hell of a lot earlier. on my project thread is a graph showing dyno runs at the same place but with the old engine and the new engine.
The car is very fast as it is, but if i were to keep it or what i would advise the new owner does is fit an AVCR or any proper boost controller for that matter, fit the larger injectors and get it mapped with the ECU not the SAFC (the ecu is now already socketed so a blank eprom chip can be fitted in minutes to be able to map ingnition and fuelling) and with this done and running 1.5 bar im certain the car will easily see over 400bhp and loads more torque
The car has recently been MOT'd and think it has just over 11months MOT left, it sailed through the MOT with no problems at all (after the windscreen was replaced at great cost that is) the only problems were 2 new wipers needed, a headlight bulb and a new drivers side indicator. the wipers and bulb were sorted about 30mins after the MOT but i still havent got round to buying a new indicator yet , im not 100% certain when the tax runs out but i think its end of august.

below are a couple of vids with the car in action last year.
YouTube - final 1 przejazd
YouTube - final 2 przejazd
YouTube - D1GB / EDC DRIFT SILVERSTONE Round 4
below are a few of my favorite pics of the car in my possesion and there are many others on the two threads i linked to at the top of the page
as you can see the bodywork isnt the best and i would hardly describe it as concourse but having said that the sturcture of the car is solid with little to no rust on the sill chassis rails etc, and the dent in the roof will push out from the inside, it comes with a new drivers side wing ready to fit and there was a bonnet going for 20pound recently so a new one of them could easily be sourced then with a quick lick of paint your ready to go.
i paid 6000 pound for the car in january (and somebody else had offered 7000 pound for it) and with just a quick calculation not including the new suspension and brakes ive easily spent over 3000pound on it. the cost of the brand new suspension parts going with the car aswell is worth just over another 1000pound.
i know you dont tend to make your money back on parts youve bought when selling cars but taking into account it owes me over 10,000 pound and has a failry large spares pack lol, im going to put the car up for 8000 pound as it is and see what happens , it may sound a lot for a R32 GTST but if you think how much it would cost to build a car to the above spec and how many R32's there are in this country that are wide arched, caged and ready to race with an easy and reliable power output of over 400bhp (with an extra 250-500pound spent that is on mapping and boost control)
p.s. i will be willing to knock a bit off the price if the somebody wants to buy it without the wheels recaro seat and steering wheel, i have standard parts to replace these with if neccassary or you already have your own parts you want to use
p.p.s i tend to forget stuff when writing threads like this so will most likely be along to edit this shortly
p.p.p.s i knew it already had to edit the thread with detail on the bodywork, and also a quick mention about the ride height, i know it shamefully high in the last picture but that was only as i was keeping it high so i didnt damage the bumper going on to the dyno again.
cheers
