Darren McNamara's new 2007 car. UPDATE

We are pleased to announce Darren McNamara has a new car for 2007.

Darren left his famous AE86 in the U.S. after Irwindale to compete in the 2007 Formula D series with the Falken Tyres Team. This new car will enable Darren to attend planned exhibitions in the UK, Turkey, Portugal and many more including a couple of guest appearances at the infamous Prodrift Ireland Series. Both of Darren's cars will be carrying Japaneseusedcars.com livery.

Darren has now uplifted his new car from the docks in Ireland and has given us the following comments
I picked up the car and i love it hasnt missed a beat since i got it. its away more impresive in person, pics didnt do it justice.

Not sure if the car has enough power for punchestown only time will tell. Got a shit load of parts on order for her from japan already and tryin to get this whole bodykit thing sorted.

Also work are making the wheels for it as we speak.

That just needs to stay exactly as it is, its perfect! :worthy:

It'll be a shame to see it get all stickered up and a wrong engine put in it

Well it seemed to work for him on his last car. Nothing wrong with being a bit practical and less image concious???

I can't see Darren going to the bother of SRing it when he's going using it for demo's and the like - the sensible option would be a 4ag for what the car is aimed for anyways.

its obvious to anyone that torquey powerful motor in little well handling car will = simple effective recipe.

hes done that, its boring.

im sure its not about being image conscious if he decided to keep it 4fag. but building another car exactly the same would just be dull.

plus it would be a whole lot simpler to not put an sr20 in haha. that would be my thoughts on the matter anyway

Could always go down the S2000 engine route. Still N/A but at least its not gutless (gets ready to be flamed :wack: .

you ever driven a 4age or any proper throttle bodied/carbed n/a engine, aimed at everybody saying it's lame? lol :)

I think if he wanted a sr20 then he would of just bough some S-scum?? :)

Anyway, that levin is nice (not a huge fan of the arches though.) :)

I am deligted to hav agreed a partnership wit Japaneseusedcars.com and am really lookin forward to goin back to my roots wth the 4a-ge.
Cant wait to put the finishing touch's on her when she arrives
