Decisions Decisions

So, guys, i have been doing some skids, happy and everything and I started to think about things I want to do in the future,

I am pretty noobie so I what to know what are your thoughts on these options with £7k and why ?
(£7k is a general cost of each option )

1)Turn the Beemer into a monster over the years and just keep drifting
2) buy an s14,s15 which is already set up for drifting and go do more skids
3) Go to Ebisu drift heaven on a tight budget, Do a week of drifting with the Matsuri weekend all included
4) Stop drifting and save up for a house =)

p.s the last one is just a joke, for all those who just exploded =)

Honestly, I'd go with 3. It'll be an experience you will never forget! Cars will always be around to buy/build, but you may never have the opportunity to head to Japan again.

Yea , I guess you right . Been chatting with the guys at drift land looks like the best decision is to leave ebisu till I am more experienced and the drive the beemer as is focusing on driver skill then mods

Ye, I would definitely do this - Improve your skill until your confident in your current car, and when your feeling like you've pushed your limits in the BMW then plan a trip to Japan, its something we should all do as that 1 week of driving would improve you more than probably a years worth of days over here

No question. Japan.

Also dont be put off by inexperience, they often get noobs up and you'll learn 10 times faster there than anywhere else on the planet.
Get a driving coach, either from Joe or one of the Team Orange dudes if there still doing that, I dont think Andys doing lessons now? Either or.. highly worth it. You'll learn more there in a day than you will all year in the UK.

indeed , its going to be a fun couple of years =) choosing driver skills over car mods does open lots of budget for more skids , which is what its all about anyways

Hey mint , thats exactly my idea, get there get lots of coaching and do lots of skids. Since i met you at drift matsuri , i was even thinkning of getting the car i used there shiped back here .

Mint has a good point actually

If you learn out there, you'll learn properly and not rely on the handbrake like a lot of the UK and you'll be able to drift fast and with the correct line, and not just somehow make it round the track

Go learn out there and you'll learn good habits and it'll be with you from the beginning, rather than learning here then having to adjust when you get out there

hmmm i suppose if you look at it that way . Its quite a dream experience isnt it

Ebisu is hands down the best thing! I'm in Japan right now about to head up to Matsuri for the third time. No doubt the best place to drift for the money.

Did you end up making a decision at all man? I've been looking at a trip to Ebisu with a mate and like what most have said, it's a unique experience even just as a spectator. I can't wait to save and book a flight out especially as I never go abroad, what a place to visit!
