Diesel drifters

Anyone on here that drifts a diesel? Any views on how they compare to a petrol for it as I'm looking at e46 330s and don't know which would be the better option, it'll be used for daily driving aswell

They can drift the very best, there is one in Ni Dfirt AMA Series and came 4th in the chaptionship this year :)
Have a look on my page: https://www.facebook.com/dees.Drift....14176678698181 and you will find fill mc burnny, he would be the one to talk to about diesel bmw for drifting.

a diesel is no good choice at all. Most of em can't stand short drives (like you do in drift events), it takes "hours" to get them warm, high performance driving kills them anyway and the worst problem of them all is the very short rev band. Just as you get a nice angle where you need it - the power stops and the next gear will take seconds to give enough punch. There not made for this kind of driving.
The only good thing about a diesel is the Turbo... you can have that on a petrol car as well. ;-)
