Do I need a remap

Hey guys :dw: recently my gearbox exploded so whilst buying a new gearbox I though I'd fix other stuff. I bough a stainless manifold, elbow and turbo (all the same as on the car but in much better condition). My car used to have a stutter when planting the foot straight down as if it was over fuelling but it was nothing you couldn't live with generally hassle free.

I'm just wondering if, with getting the replacement parts I'd NEED a remap or could go without and it would still work as normal from the previous map (about 2/3 years ago the last map was done)

It'd help if you told us what car and engine it was??

In general you 'shouldn't' need a remap if you are replacing like with like, only if the original map was what was causing the shit running.
It wasn't running that badly originally after it'd been mapped was it??

Sorry, S13 CA18DET.

Not badly but it could have been running better. Just figured it was the massive hole in my manifold and the smokey turbo

Quite possibly, cheap stainless manifolds are pretty shit and totally un-needed for power levels below 330-350BHP.

As Initial_J said, I'd like to say a manifold will just change boost characteristics? Ie may improve or make worse as an example? Plenty of people run tubular manifolds on stock ecu's etc

unless the turbo is a different spec, or your boost has been raised a lot, no need for a remap.

the stutter will be weak ignition I bet. coils, ignitor, etc etc

Cheers guys! Appreciated! :dw:

Stavros. . . Is there any coil packs you would recommend? Tried eBay but they all seem like rebranded overpriced junk from what I see.. probably not but that's what it looks like in my eyes
