Do knock off Bee*R 2 steps work?

found a good deal on a knock off Bee*R type B rev limiter. Has large loops. Shiny wire casing. Odd print under knobs. But it has the right offset square bolt pattern... so idk. Has anyone successfully run a knock off?

No they don't I brought one off eBay not knowing and my pal wired it in perfectly but it worked when the car was cold but asoon as it was up to temperature it stopped working

Oh, why is that? for only $70 USD makes me wonder if its worth the risk.

No I do not, I'm currently working on a 1987 Volvo 740 Turbo with some mods.

Redblocks have an ak47 limiter stock, no need for that shit.
Spend your money on something worthwhile like chips and a 3" exhaust

My ecu is non chippable, Lh 2.2. Already have a hoodpipe.

I don't think a Bee*R will enable you to raise your rev limit.

If you have a stock limit in place it will stay in place.

Not trying to raise it just have a secondary lower one. I guess I could just use a regular rev limiter and just set it under the stock limit. But I don't think those will have a gain adjustment

If you want the bangs of the bee*r get a proper ecu and launch control. Even antilag for fire too

I've wired it the same as this ecu on the bottom diagram.. Even run extra 12v + earth

Nothing at all happens no red light no limiter..

Please help before I smash it with a hammer
