Does as mx5 need a roll cage for drifting on track?

As the title states... I bought an mx5 to start drifting.. do I need a roll cage to take it on to tracks?

Check with your local tracks, some require cages, some do not...

to be fair as soon as you sit in an mx you're mentally prepared for death regardless
