hey, got one of the spin turn handbrake buttons the other day, awesome product, works a treat. just wondered how they go down on MOTs? are they ok?

cheers guys, thought id better check beforre i take her in and look like a fool:wack:

and where do you lot get the cool little pics of your cars, do ya make em or what?

as has been said, this is in NO WAY an MOT failure. your getting it confused with hyrdo handbrakes.

the spin and turn button, does stay in the on position on its own, unless the buttons pressed in (same as real handbrake)

just explain it quickly to the MOT tester youll be fine! all my s13s have them and never had a problem!

Thats all fine, until you get an MoT tester who's insistent on being an arse!

Mine failed, I had to rip it out and reinstall the spring for the pass, then put it back on afterwards. Most :euge:

Real men hacksaw the ratchet mechanism off their handbrakes :D

If you've got an MoT coming up in the next week or so - just leave installing it until you've passed the test, then you dont have to worry about it until next year :)

I think I was getting a bit :confused:confused:confused:. I thought the button stoppped the rachet mech working when you remove the spring.

My bad, I stand corrected:D:D

It does :) It's tapered so it goes tight when it's pressed in, and stops it from coming out and locking the handbrake on. Also it allows you to flick the button out with your thumb and lock the handbrake on, so you don't need the spring any more. :)
