Hi,

I'm looking to buy a drift day experience for my partners birthday, I have seen www.driftexperience.co.uk and I'm interested in buying the Gold/Full Day experience.

Has anyone ever used this company? They say they use Santa Pod but I can't see anything on Santa Pod website or on Google.

Any help or advise much appreciated, I'm clueless!

Thank you

i had the gold experience with drift limits really good day i did it at bovingdon airfield teaching is really great and just super day

One of the first days I went on was the Drift Limits day at Bovingdon airfield also. Experience days are OK but in my experience you won't get enough seat time to learn properly. The minute you start to learn you will have to give up the seat. If you want to get into drifting you are better of getting an E36 or similar and getting to one of the days listed on here. Pod is perfect for newbies as you can get figure of 8s and donuts nailed which you need to get onto bigger and better things.

This is pretty much true of all experience days, as they are just that, an experience. Go for the longest experience you can afford, sometimes the cheapest ones really are too short to even get the basics down. At least give the guy relevant information as its fairly obvious that to "get into drifting" you need to get a car.

DriftLimits silver and gold are a fair amount of seat time on a dedicated track, good price too.

Santa Pod is great when you've got your own car, but when you're on an experience day you're in amongst all the others at the event AFAIK.

I did a drift day with that company, it was ok but did have a couple of let Downs, eg the bmw I was driving would over heat so had to drive it to cool down then that was the end of my session, and after using the bmw all day I was moved so some beat up skyline that was crap and completely diffrent to drive and I didn't manage to get sideways.
But it was still good in all and got me hooked, now I have my own car
