SOLD!
I bought my volvo 340 as a drift capable stop gap while my m3 powered E36 was off the road.
Now the E36 is almost ready, so my Volvo is up for sale.
The car is a 1.7 engined 3-door in grey/blue/green (depending on your pick)
2 previous owners (Including me)
55k on the clock
1 years MOT
2 months tax.
Modifications include:
Welded diff
-2" lowering blocks
1/2 size coil springs
Corbeau race seat
Securon 3 point harness
15" vauxhall steel wheels wearing 195/50/15 tyres (with so little grip in the wet its bordering on dangerous )
10mm spacers and elongated wheelstuds (to enable wider tyres clear suspension struts)
OEM spoiler (not pictured, I'll get some of the car with it on up tomorrow)
All modifications carried out by the original volvo drift converter, Nev @ Driftmoto.
Good points:
Virtually no rust on the car at all. there is only a little surface rust on the front valance and a light dusting on the nearside rear quarter.
Car passed its MOT after two number plate bulbs were changed, nothing else needed attending to on the car to get a pass.
Car comes with a full interior inlcuding limited edition dog guard! the rear of the car can be fully stripped out in less than 10 minutes. Only two screws are between you and a 40kg weight saving.
Car is ultra (and I mean ultra reliable). It has never let me down and has always started up in the morning.
You can leave it anywhere, it'll never get looked at. I've left this car overnight in camden, tottenham, hackney and Ponder's end all night, outside illegal raves and it hasn't got touched.
a 30 quid fillup will last for 300 miles.
and thats 300 miles of flat out, foot to the floor driving. Let me assure you, this car is a hoot to drive.
The car is 100% road legal and ready to drive away.
It is also 100% ready to drift. The only preperation you need to do to the car, is put petrol in it and get your arse in the driving seat
Bad points:
There is a steering wheel wobble at motorway speeds. I assume its a wheel balance issue as its noticable at 70, but dissapears when you take it to onto your private test track and hit 85
Even though the car will happily cruise at 85, there is a lot of wind noise when you're doing that speed.
Manual choke gets a lot of getting used to if you're used to efi equipped cars.
you'll have to get used to the following phrase "You drive, THAT?!?!"
Right,
pictures!
also, the build up thread is here for those who want to see it.

I'm not sure how much the car is worth, so if you're interested, make me a sensible offer and we'll go from there.
One thing for sure, you will learn a lot in this car. This is a drift car unplugged, with only what you absolutely need to drift. Ideal for taking unacceptable risks when pushing your limits on the track.
If you fancy a view of the car then PM me or get in touch on:
