You may know us from here or there, probably remember the 3days Ford Sierra CA18DET of mine. We have a few interesting cars, and some nice building process, but just remember, we are in central Europe, Hungary. Money is far less, cars are in worst conditions and almost no backup for JDM and anything other cars then BMW-s. So maybe a few things are seems easy, but its not.

No more crying, let me introduce us, some builds from the past, some from present days.

Be actual, some of You know the powervehicles.com black RB26 PS13 from speedhunters cover.
damn_ps135.jpg

The car sold to hungary, one of the top drivers who "retired" from racing to be a judge and only drifting for the fun. But a car like this ask for more, so he sold to my friend. (probably know him also, he is racing the e30 pickup supercharged V8 in some videos)
The problem is the right hand drive. After you drove thousend of kilometers in the left side, do tsuiso by inches from the other car, could be a problem changing the seat. i also drove so many jdm car, no problem driving and drifting but honestly, i have fear to do a battle, just like him. words after words, he bought the PS13 and we started a LHD conversion.
The problems are: collect lhd parts, twin turbo downpipe, wiring loom mod, firewall, pedals, etc etc.

the new owner with his biggest love. the car has some heat issues, some says we have to put back a viscous fan. but for that, cut the front and move the cooler forward a bit.

ps13%20008%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20017%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20018%20(Custom).jpg

we cut out 1 inch from the top of the beam, hammering a bit and welded back, added a new mount also to avoid moving and touching the fan.
before this, we weld an additional 3mm thin (thick) piece of metal, strenghtening the front beam.
ps13%20042%20(Custom).jpg

next time we mod the crossmember and the steering, cut the downpipe and make a new from the pieces.

lets continue.

while Zoli worked on the front, i start cleaning out the inside.

ps13%20006%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20023%20(Custom).jpg

as we see, the wiring loom cannot fit the other side unless we take out the right fenders part. so we did.

ps13%20022%20(Custom).jpg

we think to move forward the steering rack with modding the crossmember.

ps13%20014%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20015%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20020%20(Custom).jpg

also do a little trick to avoid the steering rod problem.

ps13%20034%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20037%20(Custom).jpg

cut the firewall for measuring the steering and the downpipe

ps13%20032%20(Custom).jpg

also cut some metal from the engine block and the oil pipe, makes more space between the rod and the engine.

ps13%20038%20(Custom).jpg

ps13%20040%20(Custom).jpg

cutting the original pipe and use the pieces to make a new one.

Saw this for sale on the web, was up for a lot of money but looked lovely :)

You any further with it?

we just prepare the car for the HELL energy hungarian drift open Round1.
she will be on the track, copy of road atlanta layout.
details after the event.

short check:
car worked well on Round1, knocked out in battles, but get 2 new tires showing the best attack of the race.
last weekend was round2, and some problems. 3rd gear gone, we took the gearbox, rip it clean it and put it back just before the qualy. running in second gear with big tires, at top4 had some engine overheat and since then, the 6th cyl not working. but again, got the 2 tires with this run:

04' Stang GT

back in time, one of my friends fell in love with a Mustang GT. damaged car, good for modifications. after our teammates made a deal on it, the car lined back, we chopped the front and made a custom one.

thats me trying to measure the HALO loop

many pipes, many crosses

1117%20004%20(Custom).jpg

1117-1%20005%20(Custom).jpg

thats the point we stop now, as long as we in and out the car, don't do the sidebars to move easier.

Sierra 5.0

yupp, not a new idea to put a big engine in our favourite chassis :)

finally, our friend Zsoma came to buy my "old" 5 door Sierra and bring a Mustang V8 with a BWT4 to build in.

we did some measuring, cutting the firewall and part of the tunnel.

20110503%20309%20(Custom).jpg

engine in, put the gearbox on

20110503%20312%20(Custom).jpg

20110503%20316%20(Custom).jpg

everything just came out nice

20110503%20319%20(Custom).jpg

no big spaces, but enough to fabricate the mounts

Sierra 5.0

drivetrain is ok, do the chassis

05-%20023%20(Custom).jpg

when we brake cars, sometimes we collect chassy parts, panels also.
this time we using a saved firewall, just fit in perfect as the pedals and the heatbox got in place.

05-%20019%20(Custom).jpg

the only thing is to cut and weld the gas pedal, but no minor changes.

05-%20020%20(Custom).jpg

waiting overseas parts :S

Nero's Z4

we are proud that the only hungarian female drifter joined our team in 2008. Nikolett Szántó built a Z4 for the 2010 season, and the new car always came up with some troubles in the first year. All of the events have many pictures, we under or in the car fixing something. by the end of the year, we figured out the problems and for zhis season, we finally had the balance of the car. the crown of our teamwork is that She won her first race (2011 Hell Energy Championship and Night Series on the Rabócsiring-Máriapócs track in august)

But she still struggling with the hard handling of the car, so we had a garage meeting and did a little brainstorming. lowered the rear coilovers by 15mm's and made a little more negative camber by turning the top mount in the front. with 5 degrees on the wheels the front lowered a bit, so we lifted by 8mm's back and the results was way more then we expected.

after her first gold medal, the other hungarian championships promoters invited her in some negative view like she only got luck. so we went there, trained well and qualified only on the 16th place... then she won the race :)

we also managed the 3rd place by Lakyboy and the Silvia

Were you at the DOTZ Drift in Czech republic with that Z4 last year? That car was smashed to shit and I was pretty suprised to see it rolling again that day.

yes, we were there and that was our teamwork :) proud of that, because i was one of the judges, so cannot help them. but they made it :) and those czech and slovakian guys was really helpful!

Z0tya's fords

teammate Z0tya had a unique RWD Ford Escort Cosworth, but he also working on cars, mapping ecus, do wiring and that kinda things. last time he told me to help him with something new. just for fun, make a turbo manifold on his Ford Scorpio towing-service car. he cut the parts, i did the fabrication:

307808_301787739846146_121977174493871_1109720_404100115_n.jpg

the plates on the engine.

312576_301788609846059_121977174493871_1109723_1526703383_n.jpg

no engineering job here, just be cheap and easy

392622_301789503179303_121977174493871_1109724_1489822181_n.jpg

firing order? not now, this isnt for finding the last few horsepower :)

321627_301790413179212_121977174493871_1109725_1311229217_n.jpg

plasmacutting and put on the collector and done. 2 hours of work and less than 30quids spent on this. the car going MOT in december, after that we mount the turbo on. winter fun in a 1.5 ton wagon (estate) should be interesting :)

Sierra 5.0

last weekend we spent a day for the sierra again, made the co drivers seat, build in the front radiator, finish up the front end and welded an exhaust from spare pipes.
1129%20024%20(Custom).jpg

this is how it shows. personally i dont like to bother the rear suspension with the exhaust pipes, as much as i can i avoid that area :) furthermore, there is no space around the differential.
1129%20027%20(Custom).jpg

at the front, also not much space. because we lightly modded the gearbox tunnel and the firewall, the exhaust pipes are close everywhere. in this cas, we use flexible parts for easier mounting.
jupp, no muffler :) hardly wait to hear it roaring :)
1129%20028%20(Custom).jpg

no one can say, this engine isn't planned to be here! the separate oil pan smiling around the crossmember and the steering rack.
1129%20029%20(Custom).jpg

with the modded front lights, we mounted the radiator even closer to the front, but added some metal to save it from hitting tires and cones. as you see, we using scorpio rad, mustang parts are hard to find when shxt happens. and shxt happens sometimes :)

Sierra 5.0

Sunday - Sierra V8 day again.

Today we finished the rear section with the fans and the fuel cell.

1204%20011%20(Custom).jpg

This fans reduce the temp inside on shiny days, make the air move but the main job is to suck out the smoke from the inside of the cabin.

1204%20018%20(Custom).jpg

alu fuel cell fastened down, rear section done. also no more work under the car.

1204%20009%20(Custom).jpg

lot of work at the front, the alternator and the steering pump installed, hoses on their place. so many small things, much time.

1204%20022%20(Custom).jpg

me welding. my job is nearly ends here, next week we transport the car back for the owner and he will continue like install the wiring looms, fuel hoses and other things. she will come back in a few months i think.
