Drifting Near Gloucestershire

Brum wheels is quite often, and only hour or so. I don't like it there, but most seem to.

Llandow happens sometimes and is only an hour or so.

Pembrey happens about once a month and is only a couple of hours but a very nice easy drive, great fun, and loads of seat time- This is where I tend to go the most.

SantaPod is about as far as Pembrey (from Cheltenham/Gloucester anyhow) but the journey there n back is shitter, and I have more fun at Pembrey tbf.

Zoyland in Somerset still happens sometimes.

Smeatherpe a bit further down too isn't 'that' far as drift days go either.

I wonder why they don't do any drift days close to Glos/Wilts as Hullavington and Kemble airfields would be ideal. A guess Castle Combe not so much due to run off

Because noise, because they only do the odd trackday there, because most people don't like drifting, because most drifters are dickheads so it's a ballache, because as much as people give it the biggun about drifting most never ever do drift days so they'd struggle to fill a day there, and so on and so forth.

The new owners don't like it, they have to bite their teeth to allow demo's as it is, let alone a day full of drifting.

Kemble doesn't have many local residents and is a live airfield so maybe they would do something there. streets it is then

The fact it's a live airfield, busier than it's been for a while, and only half a mile from the town/village, says they probably won't.

They've had F1 cars testing at Kemble I'm pretty sure. But then I bet they paid more than a dozen hipsters with smashed up cars would for the use of the airfield, lol.

All the good places to drift are miles away, for example Teesside - but I'd much rather go there for the day than to Wheels even if it does mean getting up at 4.30am :wack:
