Driftworks adjustable arms fitment???

Hi guys,

I've brought all the adjustable arms you do for my R33.
My dad's a fully qualified mechanic, so me and him have been fitting them all.
Got all the rears done fine, started the fronts today but we've got abit stuck.

Have you got any fitment illustrations for the front lower arms and tension rods at all?
Just we couldn't figure out how the tension rods fitted up to the arms correctly as there's so many bits.
Also, what are the gold coloured brackets for? or are they for other applications?

Really appreciate the help, cheers, Tim.

Pretty simple really, the tension rods sit on the top of the sandwich of bits, so the spacer with the cutout sits below to allow them to sit level on the arm, the gold bracket is the new lockstop, and it sits over all the bits making it into a sandwich. :) If you lay the new setup down next to the original arms you'll see how it all goes and it'll make perfect sense. :)

Cool, cheers mate, that makes more sense to me now.
I'll have a look at all and give you a shout if we still get stuck!

Gotta say tho, this adjustable gear you do is excellent!
The guy doing the alignment loves it!

Ok, pretty sure i got it now, this look right yeh?

quick question guys now we're on the bottom arm subject, how much extra track can these give? i'm guessing around 20mm? more?

damn what happend if you dont put that gold sandwich plate in because I threw mine away

Its a lockstop, helps to protect the steering arm from going over center and bending/breaking. Seeing clarkeys thread for details! :wack:

Sorry to bring up an old thread BUT, i noticed you have fitted a washer in between the tension rod and the lower arm on the bolt which goes through the angle stopper..... but in the first set of pictures there is no washer fitted? is there a need for this i have fitted these and there DOES seem to be a little space between the tension rod and lower arm when tightening so maybe it is necessary?.... hmmmmm

your thoughts?
