Driftworks Hydrolic handbrake

Hi guys, purchased a hydrolic handbrake and lines from you end of nov, beginning of december. The Hydro has been fitted to the car since the 1st december.

The hydro is mounted where the original handbrake was mounted on the s15 which is an ideal place for it to fit.

The actual alloy handle has shown loads of wear already. The alloy handle actually bent when i pulled it (the hydro is already mounted on an angle) This could be due to the fact that the handle moves side to side about 3 inches. If this is what it's like now then i expect it to be broke by the end of january.

Even Lex at dwyb said how sloppy the handle was and i used all the parts in the kit provided.

Thankyou

couple of guys at LLandow had this at the liceance day - it was bent and twisted. think the issue was looked into last year IIRC and it was just due to improper fitting... im sure someone from DW will be along to help!

Yeah buller has one fitted and told me to mount it when the stock handbrake is other wise ill bend it.

The alloy handles are designed to take pulling force ONLY, i.e. if you mount it in a position where you're pulling it side to side, it's wrong.

Sit in your car and pull the handbrake as you normally would, see if you're pulling the handle straight or not. We've had one in the skyline, and I had one in my skyline, my old m3, my chaser, etc with no problems, but you do have to make sure they're mounted in line with your pulling force.

Incidentally it also makes them "appear" to work much better since you can apply more force more easily if it's in line.

Having said that if your handle is really fubared then call us up and we'll see what we can do to replace it. :)
