Driftworks oil sandwich plate problem!

Broken...
my oil sandwich plate came today and im finding that my senders wont screw in by hand in the holes... the senders are 1/8 thread type and from the instructions it says the holes are 1/8 and the M12x1.25 which my senders are too small for... is this the wrong plate for me?

im worried that if i start doing them up by force it will cross threads and leek...

Hmm, there's a couple of types of 1/8 thread, I'm guessing yours is 1/8NPT?? The plate is for 1/8PT or BSPT (BSP Tapered), it's really not that big of a deal though if you can get the correct tap to match your gauges then the difference in thread between the different types of 1/8 are sooooo marginal that the tap will just correct it and then voi-la, they'll fit perfectly.
 
Well, you can, but if it breaks then I'm not to blame!!! :) I'd seriously just order a 1/8NPT tap and do it properly, should only be a couple of quid and job's a goodun
