I changed the passenger side drive shaft as it was physically knackered, you could feel the play. But the knocking is still there when I accelerate, I'm sure its not the diff. I'm guessing its the drivers side drive shaft thats knackered too, no play though .
The knock only happens once when you accelerate, and when you lift off again and then accelerate it knocks again once. Its not a once per rev knock, just does it when accelerating. Don't do it over bumps.
The rear driver side brake is still binding (pads are low too), to make sure its not this causing the knocking, I want to remove the pads and go for a drive, but I'm worried the piston may pop out. How about removing just the outer pad only, will this cause any issues?
