DW offset rack spacers don't fit LH

Hi there

I have just purchased your offset rack spacers.

If you didn't knew, they dont fit left hand droved nissans. The rack is the other way around. So if they will have to sit direct forward, you will have to use the spacer meant to sit in the other side? If you understand.

What will i do now?

I was also unaware when I purchased these, you guys at driftworks should probably state that in the shop section haha

allthough it is super easy to fix it.

you have to swap the spacers of course, and then just mark where the notches need to be on your rack.

take an angle grinder or something similiar and make small notches.

do little at a time.

took me about 15 minutes to do both sides, i slanted them a little more up too to get rid of some bumpsteer :)

I too had this problem using a hicas rack.

seeing as i wanted to change racks anyway purchased an s14 rack and all good!

however, now using these and tein rods both my wheels are toeing in!!!

the ends dont go onto the rods far enough to straighten the wheels.

i might have to cut the end of the tein rods down and thread a bit more up the rod to get the clearance i need
 
yes! thats exactly what i did.

Get a nut that is the same thread pitch as the inner tie rod and screw it on, THEN cut the tie rod, that way when you take the nut off, it should rethread it pretty good on its own.
 
as discussed with polo yesterday using the z32 rods (shorter than s14 etc) will cure the problem when using these with standard kncukles

or cutting down the teins

Yep, the racks are kinda all over the place :wack:

Initially tested on s13/14/15 they were fine.
We now include instructions detailing exactly what to do :)

no instructions came with mine and they only arrived a few days ago...tut tut. not to worry, rack is now notched and there in place, so happy days.
