E30 320i £150

I have an E30 320I which I want rid of, the car is pretty much spot on, it failed an MOT on a rear drum needing adjustment, broken front indicator, and a tiny rust hole in the sill. Other than that its ready to roll, comes with the stock BBS alloys a set of legal tyres, lowering springs fitted on the front but not on the back (supplied with it), uprated BMW 'performance dampers' also with it but not fitted (brand new). I've stripped the rear of the car out but have everything in good order with the car ready to go back in if needs be. The bodywork is a little messy but wouldn't go as far as saying it's rough. I've taken all the chrome trim off one side. Was going to use it for track days or as a drifta but havn't got the time to do it anymore. Forgot to mention, apparently its 130BHP and I drove it to where it is now and it drives fine plenty of poke to get it sideways. (not that I tried or anything)
 
where are you mate ??? might be an idea to say were abouts your from.

Secondly can you post some pictures, i'm interested but i would like to see how messy the body work is.

Reg, Millage, Tax?, What else did it fail on, Colour, rot?, smoke from engine ?? any info when selling the car would be great :)

Ok soz dude, I don't have any pics at the moment but will try and get some this afternoon as it's kept up at my unit. It was on the road a few months ago so the body work isn't too bad. Forgot to mention the front right corner got a tap in a parking incident but I've very roughly got that sorted and got a replacement corner for the bumper as well as replaced the wing. The original wasn't too bad but was a bit rotton and rather than messing about with it I just put on a spare I had. I'm not sure of exact colour code but basically its a gun metally sort of colour. I'm based in the North East. The car is currently SORNED, the engine has no smoke or leaks, could do with an oil change, has 150,000 miles under its belt but thats nout for one of these streight 6 lumps. Also lots of receipts and bills from its history. think its an 87 model. thats about it I think?
 
I'm also interested. Does the car drive OK? Don't suppose you could keep it til the end of the month could you? Where abouts in the north east btw? Near stockton on tees by any chance?

Well if you find a 3door e30, ANYWHERE then let me know cont muncher. I know Paul Flatsbum has an e36 3door m3, but other than that I thought they were all 2, 4, and 5 :wack:
 
what ever, 2 door sounds gay, 3 door sound better, i work in odd numbers :) don't like even, 5 door touring 3 door saloon ;)
 
Ok it's a 4 door, sorry didn't mention that didn't think it would need a mention as it's £150 and as you have already mentioned if it was a 3 dor I'd either keep it or sell it for a few more bucks that £150. I'm in Newcastle so an hour north of Teeside, the car is stored literally spitting distance from the A1. drives and runs fine, you could even come buy it then take it streight to teeside and I'm sure it would be sweet as a nut. I will sell it to the first person who turns up with the moulin, i'm sure it will still be around by the end of the month though.

I now have another venture to explore but will let you know either way.

Looks kinda cool with no bumper. Like an uglier opel kadette.
 
Ok no worries just keep me informed mate. I have the bumpers for it, but they are the early chrome ones which look as camp as a weekend in keswick and weigh a lot so they got taken streight off.
 
Hi, im interested in this car and was wondering how much would it cost to put it through a MOT with all the repairs done? Just wondering as im from Edinburgh and dont really want to drive it with no MOT or tax so might be better to just get it fixed there and drive it back here legally rather than paying £200+ to get it transported here as the repairs will prob be less! Also do you have any pics of the engine and does it come with a stereo?
 
Hey mate,
The repairs shouldn't cost much at all as it's literally a few holes in the sill and the rear brake needs some TLC. But if you get an insurance cover note and book it into a garage local to you then your legally allowed to move it under its own power I believe! Thats how I got it to where it is now and have moved several vehicles around in this manor. I can get pics of the motor for you if your really interested but its just a standard 320I motor nice n clean n tidy really, also it comes with a kenwood stereo that you can see in the pics but it will need re connecting. Ok, that sounds good.

Do you know if this is a pre-facelift e30 with the Bosch Jetronic ECU or does it hae the later Bosch Motronic system? If you dont know then i think it tells you on the cover of the ECU which one it is.

Is the bumper back on the car as its been taken off in the pics? Also will it need anything looked at in the near future like the gearbox or clutch? Also when was the timing belt last replaced?

If i decide to take it then how quickly will you need payment and how quick do you need it moved? Just asking because on Tuesday im going away for 3 weeks but if it sounds good then i can pay a deposit for it but cant collect for about 3 weeks.
