Soo here's a quick video of a few laps of my first time drifting Lydden hill.

I managed a total of 10laps these being my last 2.....Pretty happy with my initiations into devils elbow for the limited amount of time I was on track before she broke :(

Despite alot of effort we could not repair the water pump.... I arrived home this morning with the car at 3am with a bill from the AA for £300 !

Shit of it was the waterpump was brandnew, must have been a defective part literally had 200miles on it....

I hope to be back at Lyd soon to which I will be grabbing 4th on the little manji before paddock bend I think...

Comments and advice welcome :)

Dude sorry to hear that about the AA, why did they charge at all?

I came up to you at Lydden to see if you needed a hand, clearly you had it under control, with tools etc, me and my mates had the 4x e36s and also borrowed the torx. I heard you start the car towards the end of the day and it sounded sweet, thought you had it all sorted by the end.

Vid looks good and car sounds and looks great.

The diff is out of a 525i 3.75, just right for 3rd and 4th on most circuits. Never had to use second yet.

Cheers bud, we only had road side assistance which was a bummer so we had to upgrade to relay and then pay 2.50 per mile after the first 50miles. Expensive 10lap drift day for sure !

Looks good dude , id probably work a bit harder on your line if i had to pick something

Imo u need to work on entry speeds especially into Chessions, no need to slow down to 2nd, if u drift the bend from the start off it u need a bit off speed to stop the hill loosing ur speed and making u straighten, other than that ur car control looks good mate and bonus points for a flick in instead off a long gay slide on the wand ;)

Thanks all,

That is 50ish mph around chessons in 4th not 2nd.

Whole of BDC section is 3rd and then 4th to get the revs down through chessons. Wasn't trying to drift chessons that much to try and save tyres.

lukd good n good work on pullin in when your tyre was going, most dooshbags carry on driving till it pops n drag ther alloy round for another lap or so, so it cuts up the track n ruins other peoples track time lol

all id say is man up n manji the straits ;)

Aha cheers, I would love to manji the main straight but they sadi it would be a black flag due to recent noise restrictions :(
