ive got both and the e36 is drift ready and the 330i is standard..

ones got to go! and I'm not sure which one!!

ive had e36 drift cars and love them but think the 330 might be a laugh but I'm after what people find they suffer from or what upgrades are good for them to liven them up as it feels heavy and less chuckable..

Do the E46s not suffer from the rear floor splitting? If you're fine with preventing/fixing this then got for it.

At the end of the day, you've got to drive it, no one else. Just keep whichever YOU prefer and feel most comfortable chucking around. What does anyone else's opinion matter?

yeah I get what you mean, its just I cant drift the 330 till I pump money into it to see if I would like it or if they have common issues.

that's why I was asking really if theres points from the e46 over the e36

afaik both e36 and e46 have rear floor issues.

If you are stripping them out then not much difference between the two, e46 is supposed to be slightly stiffer.

The Americans have problems with the 330 engines at high revs, especially if you remove the DMF. Havent found a reference to it in uk / Europe though.

E36s seem to suffer drift tax while e46s dont for some reason.
