[E36] Difference between blue and red TA Technix coilies?

The blue ones are cheaper, anyone got info on how they differ from the red ones?

Reds are supposedly stiffer and a bit better for drifting.

Not shore if the reds are stiffer, but put the blue ones on mine and they could do with being stiffer.

Has anyone thought of upgrading the springs on these 'cheapo' coilovers?

There's a load on ebay for about £25 a corner and you can get silly stiff spring rates...

Just an idea.

Input appreciated.

Not sure what size you'd need as i don't have a spring to measure...

Just search 'Coilover spring various'. It comes up with all different sizes and spring rates from 80lbs - 600lbs!!!

I'm going to say one set is blue and one set is red.

Thats the difference.

Not worth spending the money on upgrading the springs as the dampers are made from swiss cheese, and the valving is crap.

Plus at another 25 quid a corner your already near budget a decent set of springs (like eibach) and bilstein shocks which will handle 100x times better. They just dont go lower than your grannies nipples.
