i was thinking water pump.
no heat from the heaters too, if that makes a difference

anyway of tellin if it's the pump or stat
 
water pumps are known to self destruct on 325's. dunno about 328's. i presume theyre the same, plastic impellers that drop off once they've gone brittle with heat/age.

does it still run when its cold? hopefully you've not caused any damage.
 
if there's no heat for a start you have a air lock and if it has air con good luck bleeding the system it's a right bastard.

start the car and take off the water filler cap wait till it starts to get hot then feel both main water pipes and if the bottom one on the rad is cold then the thermo stat is fucked!

while the water cap is off get some one to hold the rev's at about 2500rpm and look in the hole were you pour the water and there should be a little jet of water shooting out and if there anit then the water pump is fucked!

both are a real easy job to do about 20 mins for the water pump and 10 mins for the thermostat.

when you've done the job now its time to bleed the air out of the system this is were the fun starts lol trust me sometimes it cant be a proper bitch.

1.jack the front of the car up just so the front wheels are off the floor this will help the air to rise to front were the bleed screw hole is.

2.unscrew the bleed screw all the way out and start to fill the water system up not through the bleed screw hole the proper one i only say that because some people try and do it through the bleed screw hole lol .

3.when your filling it up watch for the water about to come up through the hole when it does come through screw the bleed screw back in.

NOW START THE BEAST!!

4.put the heaters on hot but not on any speed!!! and put it on the front demister setting.

NOW screw the filler cap back on

5.while it gets hot and both pipes are hot just crack the bleed screw off and you'll see it hiss the air out with a little bit of water.then screw it back tight then get someone to hold the car at about 2000rpm and keep cracking off and tighting the bleed screw EVERY COUPLE OF MINS. till all you get come through is water MAKE SURE YOU KEEP AN EYE ON THE WATER LEVEL !!.

6.have loads of beer and fags and GOOD LUCK !!!!!!
 
oh ye it was running fine,
ended up putting the car on the trailer without a rad in it at all,lol

don't think it has a/c so should make life a little easier

i'll start by getting a rad and water pump then
 
i has a metal water pump on mine and still was wank . Impeller once hot would spin on the shaft . Justbang new one in easy job
