E46 318

Hi all,

Just got myself a 1999 e46 318ci coupe (118bhp hence the user name)

Now with such little power should I wield my diff? It spins the wheels up ok in the dry and I can spin it 180 in the wet, I know it might not be very drifty in the dry but it will be in the wet and let's face it it's wet 80% of the time lol

Or should I set it up for drifting first drop a bigger lump in and then wield it and start?

All comments welcome

Cheers

Ok thanks,

This is my daily will that make a difference? Can they take as much stick as say a 325 diff? Just thinking that cause the 325 diff is made for more power they would be able to handle more grief??

Sorry it's just I have none drifty mates that keep trying to put me off of doing it and I don't have money to replace diffs on a regular basis

Cheers

It eats your tyres slightly more at low speeds as one wheel skips but it being your daily wont make much diffrence, I have a welded on my dailey and its fine (tho its a 13)

there are alot of poeple you who have had welded diffs for years
