e46 320d first drift car

Hi looking to see if anyone has any experience using an e46 320d for beginner drift car

Can get a hold of an 03 needing bit work cheap and want to finally take the chance and start drifting.

Welded diff
Stripped Interior
Remap
Decat/Straight Through
Modded hubs
Coilovers

Dont want to waste time to get it ready for the track for it to be useless. Have seen 318s keep pace so surely 320d should be decent enough.

Will be using local track driftland

Any advice be appreciated

Revs are a bit limited tbh , they have decent torque , but unless you get a mega short diff , you'll be dipping off boost and bogging I reckon.

Be ok for small areas tho

a 318is has a much wider power band (albeit less power)
