E46 advice

So I'm picking up my first daily drifter on Saturday, an e46 325. It has a welded diff, hydro, buckets/harnesses and no rear seats. All I'll be doing for a while is learning to slide it a bit out of corners and roundabouts etc so is there anything else to do? Does it really need the subframe bracing and if so, how? Cooling mods? Cheers in advance

I've got an E46 for drifting with a fuck load less done to it than you've got by sounds of it. It's fine.

Yeah thats more than you will ever need to start out! sounds like a decent set up to start sliding, dont worry about spending any money on it for more mods spend it on track time. If anything get another set of cheap wheels to take sliding with you.

Tyres... I have heard something about subframe mounts in the boot but not 100% what the issue is there. I assume if you try not to clutch kick the hell out of it the whole drivetrain wont get as much abuse and it may last longer? But this is all based on about 20 seconds of assumption..

SUBFRAME REINFORCEMENTS. Do them. A weekend job and worth it knowing your body isn't breaking in to pieces. Also, the cooling system is a concern, the plastic impellers in the water pumps are notorious for exploding and taking out the whole system.

This is what a torn mount looks like if you don't do it !!

Thankfully was fixed, never want to do that again tho !!
