BEER CLINCH
Hi Guys,

Good to see you have some E46 coilover options at good prices!

Anyway, the 330ci (coupe) is not specifically listed so could you tell me which part number is relates to it as i'm seriously considering a set of these?

Further to that, does anyone alse have any feedback on these units to share?

The price looks good to me (what I want to spend) but I'm just wondering if I could use the damping ability as my car will be used on the road everyday.

Thanks!

SU80BM04/1, the same as 328i :)

They're not SUPER HARD or anything, they're supposed to be a fast road coilover, we've got a set on James's touring and it handles nice, goes low, but drives like a sporty, good handling car rather than some kinda rock hard race car, exactly what you want for the road I guess?

Yup, sounds about right. For a comparison basis do you happen to know how they compare to the Sport/ M Tech factory suspension? i.e. are they approx 30% stiffer then them or the bone stock E46 shock set up?

In all honesty Nik, it's hard to say, the % thing is a rough guide and not to be taken as gospel anyway. They'll be stiffer than the stock sport setup, but not massively so, since I think E46 sport suspension is pretty stiff anyway?? James's touring had sport shocks on it and it's a fair bit stiffer than that. You'll find it to be more linear and feel more direct anyway due to single rate springs instead of stock progressive anyway!

Ok, I that sounds more or less what i'm after. The sport suspension is stiff for a comfortable car but not by coilover standards. I'm not overly worried about the stiffness of the ride as I don't mind that, just don't want everything to shake loose so the car no longer feels tight. I think these sounds as close to what i'm after anyway.

Just another q, what's fitting them like? Are they easy enough to do with a car jacked up at the side of the road?

This will work with everything else being stock right? i.e. no need to replace anything else initially for these to fit?
