Just spotted this, looks a bloody bargain drifter to me at 600odd quid, im finding it hard to resist myself, TBH if i didnt have the S13 id go for it...

http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/vaux...-p-reg-omega-3ltr-mv6-ex-plod-t-t-620ono.html

Cop MV6s had uprated brakes and lowered suspension too, and they not shy with a big 3litre V6 lump giving well over 200bhp, manual box, LSD, and MV6s were lighter and with sportier gear ratios too IIRC.

If it drifts anything like a 24V Senator does, its bloody fantastic.

Just what I've been looking for! :) Lets hope its still available?!?
Only real pisser is the distance but cheap delivery may be called on!
Cheers for the heads up Stavros :worthy:

No prob lads, i saw it and although I realised its just not wise for me to get it as I already wn 3 cars, its fucking awesome and ideal for someone on here!

Ask Jeek, Sambo, ColinR, or anyone at Crail on Sunday how awesome the 24V Senator was at drifting, plenty of power to smoke the tyres too.
If this car is half as good (and in all honesty, it should be much better!) its a fantastic drift car, and will flatter anyones sucky drifting!

Betcha a fair lot of weight can be taken out the car with little/no effort too

NIce find Stavros! The senator on sunday was awesome! Much easier than i thought it would be with some tight suspension and a smaller steering wheel this would make a great drifter!

man that thing is sweet. il get something like this as a cruiser when i realise how hardcore the supertramp is gonna be :wack: thats a really good price too! :D

OT but modern police cars are bog standard arent they? like the omegas and octavias and volvos, theyre all just standard sports models arent they? ie the 3.2 v6, VRS, and T5?

im just trying to figure out which of them i can outrun ;) lol. probably none :(

I saw this too and was tempted TBH!

Omegas are pretty much rebodied Sennys / Carltons with detail changes to the suspension etc.

The police spec is better brakes and VLSD for sure on the omegas.

Also because they have no toys next to a standard model they go faster due to less weight

If they're anything like the older police cars, (back in '95), the police were moaning that they weigh so much because of all the strengthening in the doors etc, though I'm sure this can all be cut out! :)

I've been really tempted by a Omega for ages!

How do you spot a MV6 ? Does it have MV6 on the badge or 3.2 V6 ? Are all Omega manual V6's 3.2s classed as MV6 ?

Ive seen a few of these but never been sure how to spot them

All MV6's are 3.0, just multivalve version of the ecotech 3.0 giving an extra 25bhp or so (230ish) they normally have gunmetal/silver twin 5-spoke 16' or 17's and a lot lower trim spec than the 3.0 elite (non multivalve), but more often than not have an MV6 badge on the boot.

Stav, glad you got on in the senny, I miss mine (and my carlton) something rotton and will start building a straight 6 soon for a GSi shell once Ive finished my elite V6 :D:thumbs:

They have the same brakes as any other MV6, electric front windows, arm assisted rear windows. Only real advantage they have over a civilian MV6 is the LSD... and they're cheaper!

Great cars but don't just quite have the same appeal as the Carlton GSi, well for me anyway.

Cheap at 620... just check it isn't about to do a head gasket :)
