hey guys just wondering if you can supply an extra length of pipe and a nozzel for the fia fire ext you sale??

as for JDM 2010 i need 3 as far as i know?

thanks

Brad

I think you'll need a different extinguisher system to do that properly Brad, as I believe adding extra pipe and nozzles to an FIA setup would make it non FIA compliant because it reduces the amount that comes out of each nozzle.

Indeed. Have a read of the booklet if you still have it Brad, it talks about it in there. Adding an extra nozzel reduces the pressure coming out of each nozzel and makes the system much less effective. You'll need a bigger system iirc.

:(

see i swear in the JDM Rules for 2010 say i have to have three.

it states

On Board System
On-Board Fire Suppression systems are strongly recommended. An on-board
fire system must conform to FIA Technical List #16, or meet SFI spec 17.1.
On board systems are required to have at least one (1) nozzle in the engine
compartment, and one (1) nozzle in the driver’s compartment. In addition, one (1) nozzle
is required in the fuel tank compartment (trunk) if no Fuel Cell
is used.

so i dont understand really

Basically it seems the same as BDC. If you don't have a fuel cell in the boot (ie, still using your standard tank) you only need the one in the drivers compartment and one in the engine bay. Only if you have a fuel cell in the boot you need a 3rd nozzel there.
