Extreme Entry Day!

Budget Drifter

Drift Terrorists
Please be nice, I'm not a photographer at all! I borrowed the camera and got taught the settings by a tog that was there (forgot your name, but thanks).

So I deleted all the photos of cars that didn't make it all the way around the corner. Mainly because anyone can look like a drifting god on the internet when people snap the mental angle you got at entry, but then go on to spin in the next frame :D

Some of my favourite entries/photos:

You mean mitto ? lol :smash:

lol, i got a few vids but think the fence was ruining em, and the fact that i kept looking at the cars not the screen.... so it kinda veered off lol

Sweeeeeet! Nice one dude :)
Some good driving today, especially from the obvious orange hero there and Mike, Mitto, Pikey and 2 other drivers were doing really well :worthy:

Matt Wilson in the green touring had the technique nailed just a shame he didn't have more power :( upgrade mother fuckerrrrr  haha!

Awesome! Cheers for the pics mike, and thanks for being a good passenger haha.

I'm sure they would look better with some post-editing on some fancy software. But you get the picture (pun intended).

Wahey! Well they look good anyway man nice one for borrowed gear. Maybe just need more zoom next time.

great day definatly showed my flaws me being the main one, was just fun being able to throw it in at speed. i didnt really watch anyone skidding but the feedback i was getting from the speccys was there was some good driving going on.
i made it into the piccies must have been one of my lucky ass attempts.
mat wilson is definatly lackin in the power side of things but man when he gets that sorted i reckon the little blighter is gonna be a force to reckon with.

Cheers Ed/Rich. I think after about 3pm I started to get the hang of it and was just a matter of practice judging the speed and distances! Happy to say I got backwards AND kept full speed round the corner two or three times, but a lot of the other times I either started to run out of momentum or had to adjust on the wand or had a slight straighten etc. Loved the day though, really proud of how I did, and hilarious that the first time I'd ever driven the car was from my unit straight to Donington park that morning! Haha.

THAT SHIT WAS FUN.

those picture are sweet :) and to top it... i go home thinking "i wish i had more power" to find that my new turbo has arrived! YAY!

Haha I noticed you kinda petered out of power on the exit of the corner mitto. However the entries didn't really need power. Great driving today, thanks for queue-chats too but in the end I started to figure out my own method "just try and spin it" haha. Good to see you again anyway. Nice s15 :)

Budget Drifter you got some great piccys, it was me you were talking to ,so nice to meet you, il more than likly see you at buxton next time so il come over for a chat :D

ah man, the new turbo and stuff will give me about 60-70bhp extra, that would have mean i could have pulled 4th and dumped a fat clutch kick on entry! It's easier to get the car to over rotate sooner like that :D I was using momentum and stabbing the brakes with the wand to try to get it to snap more, but ended up being quite smooth looking? haha :smash:

These sort of days are awesome, i love how buxton/this/mallory seem to be pushing the people who attend them to go that bit harder. good for UK drifting imo.

Sort of wish Crail up here had a more technical section
