F**king units and F**king noise and storage RRAAR in general

FUCKED OFF.

well........ once again... we seem to be loosing our unit. 3rd unit in almost as many months!!!

I can not afford to skint myself on these f**king deposits for these places for them to turn around and boot us out with only a months notice because:

- 'i didnt realise how loud these cars are'
- 'there are locals that arent appreciating the noise, even with the restrictions'
- quote 'its unacceptable limits even during the day'

why live next to fucking industrial estates or farms or warehousing in general then whine about noise!!! :smash::smash::smash::mad::mad: WE told you they were loud, we agreed to time restrictions and to people-on-site restrictions, we push the cars to the roads.. still not enough...

Rant over.

-> has anyone else had experience with this shit???
-> where do we stand legally? we have signed no contract???
-> where the best palces to look for relatively decent noise allowance?

I have managaed to negotiate to have even more restriction in place so we can stay till end of may but have been requested to leave asap. It Seems like me and others are gonna have to find another place no matter what. I have only the deposit money from the current place to pay the next place with no overlap which in itself is a nightmare and not to mention hauling all the shit from one place to another requires a van which i dont have!!

Personally.. if we cant find a place or afford a place by may 30th.. i'll be forced to sell up, because the RX phsyically wont be able to park outside my house. So i'll either have to stop all together, or get a daily that can at least skid but is high enough to get outside the house and subtle enough to not get stolen.

no idea what the others will do.

here we go again. 1 month to find a local place. Bad times keep on rolling. :(

shame your so far away we have unit space in bristol no noise restrictions and a spray booth and looking to get a ramp shortly if you need some where to store it for a few months then you can we all pay £70 a month

mate seriously, if you cant afford anything, do you not think its time to sell up and start again with something cheaper?

running a car like that as im sure you know cant be done on the cheap, you NEED margin for unexpected things, like this/parts breaking.

sell up, by something cheap, skid that. you dont need a million dollar car dude and youd be MUCH happier.

(and everything else ever made is quiter than a rx!)

What Jack said!

I get the impression your ruining drifting for yourself because your setting out to build the best drift car moeny can buy, when you don't have the money.

Its supposed to be fun remember?

When I moved house last my criteria were: garage, off road parking for two cars, a room to sleep in.

Which is why I now live in a loft above a garage block.

next time sign a contract!!!!! and if you have to relocate for any reason other then your own without a 3 month warning make sure its written in there that they have to pay for it!

the unexpected was having to find the deposits last month and a few other things non-car related.

@jack/@jord: theres only so many unexpected things you can budget for but yeah.. i had considered selling the fc. But it wouldnt get anywhere near its worth in current climate or in rushed sale....and i have made a commitment to multiple sponsors for this year. Its not as simple as sell u and start again lads. Not to mention that the only reason the cars cost me loads is because i do nothing for months
then buy it all and do it all in a few months.. as i wasnt planning on competing.

how much do you think the FC is worth? how much you think I'd actually get?? .. exactly.

believe me. Im workin my ass off on other things to hopefully bring some cash in. but its not an instant payout.

@bizzle: thats only due to the papers being drawn up etc. That said.. last palce didnt have one and we were in there 5 months waiting for 'papers'

ben told me about all this morning so gay!!!

he even put a tea towel in his exhaust to quieten it and drove away like a granny!

someone help find a unit! my car is with these :(

Its gunna be such a ballache moving them all ect ect

maybe break it? youll always make several thousand more breaking than selling, which is the only reason i broke the brown turd, it was skinting me out, and my quality of life was shit. it would of only sold for about 4-5k.

as it goes ive made closer to 7-8 breaking it. and it didnt even cost that to build

cars are hard to sell, parts, are easy.

fc parts are seriously easy! and not to mention rare.

no one would think any less of ya dude (and id definetly take bits!; )

but yeah i get what your saying about sponsors and stuff, just genuinly think youd be much happier starting again with something cheap, you dont need a gazillion powaz to skid.

Jammy bastards, I can't find anything anywhere near that cheap round here - and everything I do find is a tiny little shithole that's almost guaranteed to be robbed within ten minutes. :(

When you put a post on a public forum every month stating how skint you are, and how you don't have any money for drifting, like Jack/Jord said, it's time to throw the towel in.

It starts affecting your social life, and personal life, as you live each month by the next pay cheque.

Like Muppet said, next flat/house you rent/buy, get one with a lockable garage. Would cost extra, but you wouldn't have all this hassle.

When you can't park your car on the street outside your house for fear of it getting pinched, it's time to move house.

If you need to park the car by me, feel free. Nothing gets stolen in my area. Ask anyone who's been to where I live. The locals don't bother locking their Bentley's.

But if he has sponsors commitments then there is really nothing he can do. Unless you bail on them - which is bad.

Without meaning to say "i told you so" I did mention this when you broke up the S14 and started on the FC. It's a cool car but frankly spending all your dosh and time on cars just to turn up at the track and spin a lot 6 times a year isn't fun.

Why the heck do you think I’m not competition drifting this year (or last) because I just fancied quitting? Or because real world stuff is far more important.

Don't end up like SO many on here. With 5 figure loans and credit cards, still living with their mum (in their mid 20's) and all they have to show for it is a shonky datsun with some flash graphics. That's not cool.

Drifting is a hobby, it's fun and you get to do some really cool shit. But it's never going to make you rich or famous. It gives you the illusion of thinking you’re more important than you are, but frankly being "well known" in the drift scene is the real world equivalent of being "well known" down your local supermarket.

If you can’t afford it – sell up –take 6 months to pay off some debts – got have a nice holiday and come back to it in 2011 with a £2k skid car that you can actually learn to drive. Because you and I both know in the “seat time” vs “build time” league tables you come somewhere near the bottom.

Love ya loads flappy.

fuck me, i told u on ur last thread sell car, buy a cheap s body, that with few nice bits runs on and on and start enjoying drifting again, or take a yr 18months out lad, save ur money, get ur real life sorted first this is a hobby remember!! what are u expecting to get out of drifting? wont be money, so why spend all ur money doing something that makes u skint and then intern not have money to continue to do it!!

listen dude, start again, break car for parts unless someone offers u say 9k complete by a clean borin s body and save ur money, enjoy general life again!!!

at the pub on thursday u had what a tenna to ur name!!! how is that good man !!! skidding should be second after liing ur real life!!!

shit jack gets by and look at him lol, but he has a good plan and it works!!

and look at chapman phil, hes suppose to be pretty good and famous and things, he cant even afford trousers that fit or a razor.

you dont want to end up like him :p

but lets not turn this into a phil bashing thread, id just say give it all some thought. it does make sense.

without being big headed, i dont compete, not because i dont think im up to standard, but for this reason. im not spending every penny i have stressing and worrying just to turn up and do an hours skidding a month. fuck that

id rather build baller cars, skid when i feel like it and live a comfortable life!

try it. i think youd be suprised

Lol, Bizzle you haven't been a c.unt for all of a couple of weeks. You just made up for lost time.

Wise advice, and pretty much the reason you haven't seen me in a car in the last year or so.

Life > drifting.

:D :D :D

I often find myself saying this to a few of the usual suspects - a 200hp shitter that you actually get to drive is always better than an 8K monster that spends 363 days a year broken somewhere. Hell, if I didnt already have the GT2871 Id have probabl;y just gone with a standard SR to replace my 400hp CA as at least Id get to drive the frickin thing once in a while :smash:

If you need somewhere to keep the car for a couple of weeks Flik, although Im a bit out of the way Im sure I could sort you something mate, but if you are going to keep hitting the same problem it might be time for a reconsideration on where you are heading with this

Sutrely the main aim for all of us is maximum seat time?? Amazing powers and stuff arent needed for that
