F11 N52B25: any good as a dd?

So I need to be schooled on BMW's, particularly the late model N52B25 as I'm considering one as a daily driver

Because according to the Germans NZ is part of Asia we got the N52 instead of the N20. Tbh, considering what i've been reading about the chain guides that's probably a good thing

I'm looking at a 2011 F11 523i Touring with an N52B25A

Before you say it's really slow remember, I have a car to go fast in so I don't care. It'll sit in traffic for an hour a day and do family trips a dozen times a year.

However, this is my first non-Japanese car and considering people on here have had experience with them I'm hoping I might get some direct experiences. A lot of what I've found on Google is to do with older models and what I'd call bullshit biased opinions

Questions I'm hoping to get answered:

- From what I've read the noisy lifter problem was fixed in engines after 2008. Was it?
- Oil consumption: is it only a problem if it's thrashed? Or is it a problem at all?
- Any other engine related issues?
- What should i expect as far as build quality coming from Nissan/Toyota vehicles of the same era?
