Fc vs m3

Hey drifters,
got a few questions from Sydney for you :worthy::worthy::worthy:
got basically I'm a car nut, been around anything that burns fuel for as long as I can remember, I'm not mechanic but not new or shy around a motor or car.
so all my street legal toys have gotten me into plenty of shit over the years and the wifey says if I want a new toy (been a few years) it needs to be track dedicated, so I've been stalking forums and web about my long list of desirables, and really would be happy with all. But can currently get my hands on two cars cheap.

first is an 1990 Fc rx7 no motor or box, clean straight no mods.

second an e36 m3, custom LS mounts tubed front end, arches cut for clearance, flat boot floor with fuel cell recess, stripped, buckets, race steering wheel.

now I should point out I want to go the v8 route, prefer the response of NA over boost,

i want them both probably leaning towards the m3 but with all the info I've read on both, never found a comparison of both.

so firstly what would be an easier slider, and eventually more competitive do you think?

And I've also read the rx7 can take the LS and box without touching th trains tunnel, the m3 needs the tunnel work done still. But I can't find much on how much work needs to be done to the m3 tunnel?

cheers
