FD3S Rx-7 V8 powered drift machine from up north. FRESH PAINT!!
Hello fellow drifters..
This is build to run in the Norwegian powerdrift series and hopefully some international series..
It is a 1993 Mazda Rx-7 that is bone stock. It had a engine, tranny and diff but thats all gone now.
I will be running a ls2, a 4 speed dog shift (tex, jerrico, mid valley, gsr etc) and hopefully a speed way quick change diff.
About the exterior it will be alot like my skyline. Simple, low and some nice rims.
The plan is to build it as an race car but whit a street car exterior..
I have to admit after being whit my mate Fredric Aasbo to both america and the middle east, i have gotten alot of inspiration from the formula D cars and having some of that in mind...
I had this car in my backyard for way to long, so i figured out why not build a pro drift car???
This is a brand new crate engine from Katech racing (search katech on google and you see who they are)
Complete LS2 engine plus the following:
-Street camshaft, mild lope
-PSI springs
-Trend pushrods
-CNC-ported heads
-C5-R timing chain
-Katech oil pump
-Katech aluminum valve covers, powdercoated red with Katech logo inserts
-Katech coil relocation kit with black wires
-Katech billet belt tensioner
Specs:
58x/4x triggers
90mm cable throttle body
Corvette damper/water pump
Corvette oil pan
509hp 447tq
Stack gauges to keep eyes on everything.
Here comes the engine
How it looks like
I Have made i detachable front to make it easier to repair, maintain whatever.
Just had to try fit the engine to see what i had to cut away.
Only mounting points left
Had to do some more tubing.
Made some solid engine mounts.
Now its inn.
This is how it looks by now. Right now im in a little short of money, and i hope someone buys my Skyline...
Nissan Skyline R32 GTR 1991, kr 180000,- -
I have also welded a cage that i post pics of later on.
I try to do everything on my own to keep costs down and rater spend money on a good engine/drive train package
Have a nice day!
Joachim
