fia aprroved and mot approved harnesses

yea as far as i know just buy a decent approved one for competition,and for your motwell in ireland the rule is you can have and use harnesses as long as the standard seatbelt is still present and operating..
 
wot is the deal with harnesses and mot's in the uk cos i have ditched my seat belts, do the harnessess just have to be eec approved or what :confused:
 
They have to be secure and conform to all the same regs as Seatbelts

ie. If the harness is bolted to the seat , it has to be solid

true , fia are aircraft type buckles (for quick exit), you can pass an mot with eec approved harnesses as they have a conventional seatbelt buckle, my s13 passed its mot with eec harnesses recently
