Fifth generation mustang for drifting?

I'm currently selling a 1jz s13 and I'm thinking of getting a v8 4.6l fifth generation mustang and building it for proam. My reasoning is that parts are easier to come by here in the states and that prices for this generation mustang in manual with a v8 are as low as 1,5k$. Does anybody run this or the fourth generation mustang? I'm curious how the solid rear axle is for drifting and how much fabrication work is needed. I've found a good amount of aftermarket support like the unicorn angle kit and I've read that diff ratios are cheap and easy to change. I plan on running proam and one of my goals with the build is the keep the car somewhat cheap so I don't feel bad about driving 110% and totaling the car.

Thanks for Any input

Most people on here won't be able to help but if you can source a manual v8 mustang for that little money, sounds like a no brainer. Cheap, readily available parts and simple mechanics make for a good competitive season.
