first couple of drifts :)

I know this is really pants but these are my first few bits of drifting I've done, I did get a bit better through the day and almost linked the two corners but my go pro ran out of battery as i left it on :(

any advice greatly appreciated !

Start off with donuts in 1st gear, then figure eights then it might make you a bit braver on a circuit? Reasonable effort so far. :)

You've got the letting go of the wheel and regaining the wheel from lock pretty well sussed which is a good start. That usually is what people struggle with to start with.

Yeh I definitely need to be a bit braver and get a bit more speed when initiating I think lol, looks so slow in the videos! Yeh letting go of the steering wheel felt so un natural!

Cheers that was at Thruxton

How often do they do drift practice at Thruxton circuit?

After my last two replies were berating dickhead dreamers, nice to see someone getting out there and actually doing it for real

As said earlier, donuts followed by Fo8's are generally the best place to start as you get a better feel for weight and the point of loss of traction but if youre on a day like that just try pushing harder and harder each time you go round.

A bit faster, bit more violent on turn in and a bit more confidence to get on and stay on the throttle earlier and youll be well away :)

cheers guys i will take it all on board, i can't wait to get back out there !

basic set up of the car is:

s13
ca with stage 1 bolt ons
s14 hubs and 33 brakes front and rear
