I'm looking to buy a cheap skidder within the next couple of months. Currently looking at MX5s, as they're cheap and easy to slide. Has anyone got any suggestions or know of anything I should look out for? I've also considered a cheap BMW, e36 or something similar but I think I prefer the MX5.

Also what mods would I be looking at to get it drift ready and road legal and what is everyone's opinion on welded diff vs limited slip?

I don't know much about in the UK, but 300ZXs are in abundance here. I'm considering one for my first drifter. As for drift ready, from what I've gathered, any manual with an E brake that's RWD is "Drift Ready". I'm planning on modding after I start drifting without and get a feel for what style of drifting I like best. It can vary depending on what you need as an individual.

Mx5 aren't easy to slide. You have to carry a lot of speed and just flick it into the corner. Use high psi in the rear tyres helps but there still under powered. It is a challenge to slide them but you can do it. They're ace to skid in as you have to be committed to each corner

I dont think these kind of threads will ever stop huh? Iv been here for a good few years and they still pop up every few days lmao.. Guess people get so excited they cant be fucked looking anywhere.. so just ask.
