First drift day... How many spare wheels!?

Evening drifters!

Got my first drift weekend coming up at Driftland. Buzzing is an understatement!

I'm wondering how many tyres yous went through on your first drift day?

I will be doing a couple hours on Friday this will be my first proper chance at drifting only the odd bit of streeto before lol on the Saturday I will be doing the beginners drift course at Driftland but I will be in their car so won't have to worry and on the Sunday I will be back in my car.

I have 6 spare wheels at the moment n hopefully pick up a few more before the drift weekend. Think that will be enough?

But it also depends on the car, if you're trying to lay down 500bhp then you are going to go through tyres a little faster than 180bhp. There will be (I assume) a tyre guy on site, not the cheapest option but you wont run out. Also if it rains you may only need a couple of sets if the track stays wet.

But in answer to your question, 6 is probably ok, 8 wouldn't hurt, the more you have ready (rather than waiting for the tyre man) the more seat time you will have, and we all know seat time is king.
 
Theres no way your going to need all that for just a few hours on your first ever drift day.. unless the car is like 600hp or retard fitment. I also know that the car you borrow, will have neither of that.

Plus its Driftland.. so chances are it'll be raining, that being the case, you might go through one pair :p
 
Cheers guys, there isn't going to be tyre changing facilities on the practice days.
No /i'm not running anything like 500bhp haha just a 328 lol no daft fitment either haha
